I’m sitting here with Bruno, and he is lovingly staring up at me the food in my hands. He’s always the sweetest when he might get some crumbs 🙂 Anyway, this post isn’t about dogs, it’s about stuff I’m enjoying recently (but to be clear, I’m always enjoying dogs). So let’s hop to it!
I was gifted this Sea Glass Foot Cream and Sunny Day Hand Cream from Beth at Sound Naturals, a small business committed to all natural products that really work. I’m always looking for something that will help these cracked heels and my dry hands, so I figured I could give these products a run for their money! I used both the hand and foot creams diligently for almost a month before writing this post because I wanted to be able to give an honest review, but I truly loved them both and have used almost all of the foot cream because I kept slathering it on! Davis also started up a game of bringing the jars to us to open for him so he could smell them – haha! He personally seems to prefer the citrus scent of the hand cream – the foot cream has a peppermint smell. Both are lovely! The hand cream is more like a barrier and feels wet when it goes on but absorbs quickly. It’s different than anything I’ve tried and I really love it. It feels like it is protecting my skin from all the washing and hand sanitizer I’m still using. I took pictures of my heels before using the foot cream and then yesterday – they are ugly, but the pictures are below. My feet are still not perfect, but it’s a HUGE difference! Speaking of hands and feet, I got this Barefoot Scientist pedicure file in my FabFitFun summer box and it is LEGIT. When I touched it I knew it would be pretty serious, haha! It is made of stainless steel, so you know it’s got to be good. This paired with the foot cream mentioned above is going to do me RIGHT.
Living Proof Instant De-Frizzer Dry Conditioning Spray – 4.5 stars with 961 ratings…kind of speaks for itself! Down where I live, it’s necessary in the heat and humidity we get! I have really been impressed with the quick and effective results from using this bad boy! It immediately tames all my little frizzy flyaways and broken strands, and it smells amazing and leaves my hair really soft.
Scentuals Vitamin C serum – I got this in my FabFitFun box so it was really discounted, but you can find good vitamin C serums for less expensive (I had my eye on this Cerave one before I got this in my box). Natural ingredients, brightens, supposedly reduces fine lines and wrinkles, smoothes, hydrates, etc. etc. etc. Look, I’m not a professional, but Lindsey the esthetician says vitamin C is good for my skin so I’m going to use it. She says, “Vitamin C is typically an antioxidant so you want it during the day for free radical protection” – so use it after you cleanse in the morning and then put on your moisturizer and SPF. You heard it here first, ladies.
Whitney has been taking pictures for Elisabeth Ashlie recently which is so exciting! I’ve been shopping there for years and have mentioned EA’s jewelry several times on the blog. Whitney recently bought these huggie hoop earrings for me as a surprise gift and I’ve been reaching for them all the time! I love them so much. Simple and classic with a twist. Perfect for hair up or down, and you know I’m living in my messy bun these days, so that’s a plus.
Saie Beauty reusable beauty rounds – at the time I’m writing this, there are only 4 left in stock and I can’t find these on the Saie Beauty website. I’m not sure if they’ve stopped making them or if they were a limited item or what! I love these for washing my face. You can use them for face, body, masks, cleansing, toning, etc. Anything you would use a cotton ball for…and then throw them in the wash or hand wash them! I love finding easy ways to help the environment. There are lots of other options, but these are the ones I have so I can’t recommend any other specific brands!
