I posted recently that one of my goals for 2017 is to get back into the gym. Well, my old tennies just weren’t going to cut it. They were fine while they lasted, but both shoes literally had holes in the side of the toes where my pinky toes would stick out! Time for a new pair.
I went to Fleet Feet Sports for my new shoes. I had a good experience back when I was training for a 10 mile race with my brother and sister, so now that we got a Fleet Feet near my apartment complex, I wanted to go check it out and see what their advice would be. I told them I needed something lightweight and multi-purpose; I’m not a runner, and I told them I would be lifting weights and jumping around for high intensity interval training workouts, as well as a lot of walking/some short sprints.
I tried on only two pairs, but I knew these bad boys were it when I put them on. I got them in Atoll and Green.
I absolutely love these shoes. They are called The Cloud, and that’s literally what they feel like. Every step is a glorious, bouncy, light sensation. As someone who is on my feet most of the day teaching, I can quickly tell the difference between a ‘light’ shoe and a clunky one. These are true to their name, for sure! I love the fact that they don’t have laces and can slip on and off easily, and don’t hurt the top of my feet from being too tight.
This is not a sponsored post – I ain’t that famous – but I just really love these shoes. I get excited to go hit the treadmill and jump around now! They’re technically running shoes, but they’re perfect for everything I’ll be using them for in the gym or outside, and stable enough for when I’m lifting weights!
